Welcome to the Wisconsin VA Network.
Who We Are
The WVAN is a professional network of Virtual Assistants who reside and work in Wisconsin. We provide administrative, creative and technical support services to clients across all industries, drawing on our professional and business experience to provide high quality services to the business community.
What We Do
We strive to provide a host of tools and resources as well as connect VAs with each other in order to build our practices, promote the VA industry, and provide opportunities for professional development. Through our online directory, VAs can network with each other and build local affiliate relationships.
We are also dedicated to educating the Wisconsin business community about the endless benefits of working with a Wisconsin-based virtual assistant. The WVAN is also a vital resource for the Wisconsin business community. Working with a VA is a cost-effective, high-quality business solution for countless organizations. In order to meet the growing demand on the VA industry, we have established an online directory to link prospective clients with VAs in their specific regions.
Launched in 2008, the Wisconsin VA Network started as a small, informal Madison-based group of virtual assistants who would gather over breakfast to talk about the industry and network with a group of fun, like-minded professionals. Each VA was a valuable contributor to the group, offering up industry tools, resources, feedback, and support.
The group began to grow, and the idea was born to bring the beneficial gatherings statewide. The Virtual Assistance industry is highly collaborative, as demand for VAs’ services becomes higher than the available supply. So, Wisconsin VAs network, collaborate and refer resources to each other.
What is a VIrtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative and/or technical services, taking on tasks that are supportive in scope and nature.
The tasks a VA handles are similar to that of an on-site, on-staff professional assistant; however VAs work virtually, working from their own offices and using their own tools and resources. Today’s technology allows for real-time communication and information transfer, so your VA can be down the street or across the country.
VAs work on a contract basis, building long-term and collaborative relationships with their clients and providing support only when their clients need it – a few hours a week, a few hours a month or even on a project-by-project basis.
